we have gay charaters on tv, and this technically isnt on tv at all. just saying.

looking at it, it seems they are going for all the cliches and stereotypes.

It's too soon to tell, I'd say. They may end up subverting the stereotypes, or deconstructing them... In any case, high school does make people act in ways they normally wouldn't (like out of school, for example).

Am I the only one who thinks this looks like it's going to be horrible?

No, Tim. I thought maybe it looked okay at the first...half minute? After that, the trailer just went downhill. So many stereotypes...

Look at any other TV show centered around high school drama and they're ALL centered around stereotypes.

It's not a "gay-only" thing, we just get more easily offended by it.

Definitely not! It looks absolutely awful to me...but, I'll give it a try when it comes out. I think I'll end up sticking with The New Normal, though

  13. On ABC sitcoms, there's some gay characters on their family night shows.
Back when Ugly Betty was on, Justin Suarez is a gay teenager who came out in the fourth season.
On Modern Family, there's a gay couple who is raising a kid and they aren't all that stereotypical.
And on Happy Endings, Max Blum is a gay guy who isn't a stereotypical gay guy.

  14. I may watch it for the "So bad its good" factor.

That was some of the worst acting I've ever seen, and this is coming from a man who has willingly watched Birdemic twice!

I don't really like these kinds of shows. They always fill them with a bunch of hot girls and guys that could be and dress like models- NOT your everyday highschooler- and slap on angst in random places. Bleh. Their personalities are all alike too.
I'll give it a try when it comes out...
The good thing that might come out of this show that many watchers of these stereotypical high-school shows are in middle or later elementary school. Little kids ca be devastatingly cruel at times to each other, so learning and getting comfortable with LGBT at that age through TV is a good thing =)
