Family Guy vs American Dad

Family Guy. I don't really like either that much but I feel American Dad is a bit too over the top in some of its scenarios. Just my personal opinion...

 

I had to pick American Dad.

It makes more sense, plus I can relate to it more. I watch both of these regularly, at about the same rates though. Oh, and also Terry & The other guy that I forgot his name.

 

I really have to say Family guy, because every night on Channel three in the UK, it's two family guy episodes and two American dad episodes, and American dad is never ever funny to me.

 

I go with American Dad. Gotta love Roger!

 

American Dad wins my vote.

 

I watch both but American Dad is my favorite. Family Guy has kind of lost its edge, it just seems like they have run out of jokes and I love roger, he's soo funny.

 

Ive never seen American Dad. It doesnt really appeal to me and I have seen the advrts...I just didn't get it.

 

Definitely Family Guy.

 

Will have to go with Family Guy. Haven't seen many episodes of American Dad and wasn't a huge fan of it.

 

Family Guy. I've watched it since I was like...nine, so it appeals to me more. American Dad is alright, but I haven't seen enough episodes to really get it.

 

The Cleveland Show...


... seriously though, they both kind of blur into one big show. Perhaps I should watch a few more episodes and see if I develop a preference.

Completely agree with this. A few years ago, Family Guy was much funnier than American Dad. Recently however, especially since like the last two seasons, American Dad has been more funny imo. Family Guy's randomness doesn't make me laugh as much as it used to...

Nevertheless, I still watch both shows faithfully.

 

I forgot about him! He's my favourite character! I love the way Brian is like the only person that can understand him. :lol:

I gave my vote to American Dad though, since it has Patrick Stewart in a reoccurring role.

 

This exactly. Peter is really running through his old gags and it seems like instead of new jokes, they just make them more blunt which takes a show already known for it's bluntness/crudability and turn it into the trash ppl swore it was when it started off. Stewie isn't as funny, neither is Brian, Lois and Chris have some pizazz and Meg is still Meg so...meh. :rolle:

American Dad on the otherhand seems to have a more stable plot. The jokes seem ceaseless and that damn Roger, Steve and Francine always have something new but Stan and Haley bring it as well. Klaus is like that old table you've been planning on throwing out and replacing for months. He's really just there. :lol:
