I need some help. Very randomly, certain websites and internet related things on my computer just stopped working. EC still works, as do google, yahoo, and other random forum and sites (like the java and merriam webster websites). Other sites, like youtube, load only partially, and look funny (like youtube has only text, no images besides video preview buttons), and some sites, like Wikipedia, dictionary.com, and reuters.com don't load at all. In the world of instant messaging, AIM won't load at all, while MSN works fine. I have not changed anything in the past few weeks.

    Any thoughts?

Edit: I'm using firefox, but also tried in internet explorer - neither worked. I'm on Windows XP, using ZoneAlarm firewall (tried turning it off, didn't do anything).

Edit again: I've tried repairing the network, release/renew, restarting the computer...

Could it be that your JavaScript is turned off? Or something like that? That makes some websites go weird..

No, JavaScript is turned on for all those websites. Add Facebook to the do not work list.

Things randomly started working, I don't know what happened. I was doing homework and saw that AIM had started up... so... whatever, as long as it works.

Random, unexplained happenings like that tend to be spyware. I'd suggest you do a scan.

Do you have any other computers in your home? Do they still work fine?
