Is that the one where he has a vision about his friends dying & tries to change the course of history to prevent them dying, but after surviving they get killed anyway, just another way?

I can't remember which one I saw (there was a roller coaster in the beginning of it), but it was pretty good.
I have heard a lot of people say that they are all the same, and they need to quit making them. I must admit, I do find them entertaining, so yeah... I haven't seen them in awhile, so I can't tell which one. Was the airplane explosion the original? ...Because I think I liked that one best. Edit: Oh there is a 5th one? I had no idea. The last one I watch was with race-cars, and it wasn't the best. I think I will add that to my movie list.
Yeah its the original.Although in the final one (5)it also happened an airplane explosion at the end.I find them quite smart,and fresh,new ideas in each one,new fresh teenagers for characters,i really like that.
I was before they went and made like 12 of them lol. Okay, obviously that's an exaggeration but they really did begin to suck after the third one. That's when I stopped watching them. The original two were the best - the airplane one and the highway pileup one. After that, they just became self-indulgent and ridiculous. The rollercoaster one? PUH-LEASE.
This. I really enjoyed the first two films, but the last movie was just awful. I mean, you expect a certain degree of absurdity in these types of movies. After all it's part of the fun. But the series has just gotten lazy and nonsensical now...:dry:
I love the first three parts (especially the airplane crash one). The part 4 and 5 just turned me off.
