They are my all-time favorite band, if you can't tell by my username :icon_bigg I love everything they've ever made. I'm a guitarist, and James Hetfield is my biggest musical influence. I hope they come to New Hampshire or Mass on their next tour!

Used to be a fan, everything pre-Load. I still listen to them sometimes and Death Magnetic wasn't half bad.

My brother went through a Metallica phase when he was in HS and I was in middle school. Had to listen to them over and over everyday when he'd pick me up from school. I'm thankful though. It helped broaden my musical taste horizons.

They were the first heavy band I got into, and I've been hooked since.

I heard a crowd sing the the lyrics to "Enter Sandman" (louder than the music was played). listened to it the next morning and my mind was blown.

I happen to be wearing a "Ride the Lightning" T-shirt at this very moment.

They were a gateway band that helped me get into metal, but to be honest, I don't really enjoy them anymore these day. I like some of their thrashier stuff, but having heard so much more metal since I got into them, their music is too conventional for me (by the standards of metal).

I played a metallica song in school with some friends for a concert and all I can really remember was going absolutly wild at the bass solo in Orion and the fact that the front 4 rows spent the whole time with their hands over their ears XD

Would have been better if it had been decently mixed. I think mixed is the word I'm looking for. Maybe mastered. Or possibly both. Certainly at least one of the two.
