Should The 12th Doctor Be Gay?

    How cool would it be if the next Doctor was gay! Who thinks that the 12th Doctor should be gay and have male companions instead of female? Doctor Who needs to be camped up a bit! :wink: What do you think?

    Well, well, well! There is a theory that Clara is the next doctor!

    It's happened before that a future doctor has come and helped the doctor pre-regeneration! I think it's also eluded to that the doctor can change sex! Clara has obviously regenerated through time! Is very smart. Also her as a child:

    Hm... I dont know how I feel about a girl Doctor. Politically correct, yes, but I think I'd still rather a gay Doctor. OR, even better, Matt Smith can play a gay Doctor! :grin: Yummo hehe

    I don't think the doctor should be gay. He is seemingly straight and for him to turn gay seems to suggest that sexuality can be changed. Politically correct? I'll let you decide :slight_smile:

    Well if it's just the regeneration that's gay then that's fine because each time the doctor regenerates he becomes a completely different being.

    11th being gay? I don't know.

    Not unless the story writer(s) want him to be gay. I'm fine with the Doctor remaining straight. I don't need all my fictional characters to be gay-ified. Lol.

    Sorry, Clara isn't the next doctor, but she and the doctor have met many times. Clara could have the TARDIS information bank within her, which would explain why she feels so uncomfortable in it.

    I think the Doctor is pansexual already to be honest. He's already kissed guys without hesitation throughout the series. and we know from the Corsair that Time Lords can change sex during a regeneration. Whether that affects their gender identity or not is another matter.

    I heard Moffat say in an interview that River Song is bisexual, so that could work.

    I'd finally watch Doctor Who if they'd make that happen.

    Again, would like to emphasize that I don't know anything about it but wasn't there a spin-off starring a bisexual lead?

    I think they did think about making a woman doctor but they decided against it just incase the fans were against it. It would be nice to have a female doctor or a gay one tho

    As much as I love Doctor Who, and the man crush I had on the last two, I just don't think I could get behind the idea of having the Doctor being gay. Odd, yeah?

    When I watched the show, I always thought the doctor was pretty obviously pan. Regardless of my interpretation, though, I'm still pretty sure he's not straight.

    No. The Dotor shouldn't be gay. The show isn't about his sexual orientation. Plus, 11 has made it clear that he doesn't care for any sexual things. (Although 10 was oh so makey outey) Haven't they had enough gay characters on the show? Anyway, there is one thing we all must agree on. THE 12TH DOCTOR MUST BE GINGER!
