I'm a fan, but only live opera... it gives me shivers and feelings that recorded opera just can't produce.
Just the overtures for me, really. Le nozze di Figaro, Il barbiere di Siviglia, La gazza ladra, Guillaume Tell, to name a few.
When I hear opera, I automatically think Hannibal Lecter. That`s as far as my opera interest goes, lol!
