However one would define Jimmy Buffett's music. Incredibly relaxed, beautiful style, thick with rapier wit and a generally positive outlook. <<All things I strive for every day. I think the guy's a genius, and if I had to pick a song to identify myself, it would probably be one of his.

I can appreciate most all kinds of music, granted I think some has a lot more "talent" than others. I can listen to Mozart and enjoy it and listen to "Toxic" by Britney Spears and enjoy it! I even love country.

 

Indie pop acoustic synth dance rock, assuming there is such a thing

 

Alternative rock But I listen to basically everything, Michael Jackson (huge fan), Bring me The Horizon, My Chemical Romance, Eva Cassidy, The White Stripes. etc. So... well... a very odd mixture I have, but I enjoy it like that

 

Indie/ folk music. I'm pretty sure those home-like tones radiate throughout me

 

I can appreciate music from any genre. Classical never disappoints, but lately I've been into glitch hop.

 

Rock and Metal mostly, although there's a good bit of pop in there from time to time.

My ipod has several Ozzie Osborn songs, a number of songs by Disturbed and Device, some Slash, but also stuff by Egypt Central, Finger Eleven, and Lady Gaga and Young the Giant.

I also like some classical and some jazz.

About the only thing I consistently don't like is rap and country (and sometimes I'm willing to make an exception for some country).

I guess I'm predominantly into Soul and Jazz. Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Bessie Smith, Nina Simone etc.
I do also like some pop, Avril Lavigne, Lady Gaga, P!nk. Lately I've really loved Cocorosie and Of Monsters and Men, Linkin park and Evanescence.
I'd like to think I'm more eclectic, I'll take a bit of anything. I even like some Opera!!

 

Music with a fast pace and beat. I am very outgoing, and very orderly. I feel that the music itself reflects me in a way.

 

I love trance, progressive house, psy-trance, some dance, well, basically anything that takes me to outer space without having to take anything. Also love the sounds of indie-rock/pop and swing. Love swing music -- gotta learn how to swing dance sometime.

 

I agree with that! Currently I'm listening to Austra, Lo-Fi-Fnk, Royksöpp, Robyn, Björk among others...

 

Country & Western and bluegrass. They have awesome beats, down-home lyrics, and positive messages that resonate with me. And no, in my book Taylor Swift ain't country. (Yes, I did just use "ain't" sarcastically.)

 

Bubblegum rock like the hollies or herman's hermits probably describes my personality pretty well. I'm not a serious person at all. I like all kinds of music, like pop, rock, country, rap, jazz, regaee, soul, etc.

I'm a weird mix of pop, rap, country, punk, rock, alternative, and basically everything else but gospel and opera.

 

Modern wind symphony music, with a dash of cello rock and J-Pop.
