Some gay love songs

    Are there some or many gay love songs on the radio that plays top hits pop type music? I' am talking about the public radio not the ones you pay for. If so what stations normally play them? Thanks

    Only that I've heard on the radio is Same Love by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Mary Lambart. Plays on 106.1 KISS FM here, the local Top 40 & Pop station.

    I'm struggling to think of any gay love songs, let alone ones which have been played on the radio, but I've heard songs which cover gay relationships get played (very occasionally) on the following UK stations

    Jemm One JemmOne Radio | Jemm1 | Dance and Pop Music | Internet Radio Station (Online only) - Dance and Top 40
    Gaydio Gaydio (Manchester 88.4FM, London and Brighton DAB) - Dance and Top 40
    Trent Sound (Friday 22:00 - 24:00 UK time) Friday Night out (Online Only) - All sorts of music (20s swing Jazz to modern Dance via the musicals and pretty much everything in between)
    BBC Radio 6 Music BBC - Radio 6 Music - Home (DAB) - Current and classic Alternative music.

    I'm guessing by gay love songs you mean songs that actually say the same sex pronoun than those that don't say any pronouns? Here's some I looked up online, and some I know.
    Forrest Gump - Frank Ocean
    At My Most Beautiful - R.E.M.
    And then Chasing Cars and Signal Fire by Chasing Cars are pretty good, too. (Don't say the pronoun, though)

    Ya when I said love songs I mean songs like a guy talking about another guy and how hot he is and stuff like that I think there were ones that were for straight people meaning guy saying how hot a girl is but I wonder if there are also a lot of songs that a guy singing about another guy on the radio. I think think radio stations only play straight songs since there are gay people also that listen to the radio.

    Btw that reminds me is Thrift Shop and gay song from Macklemore? Basically does the guy every talk about having guys together or so and they are at the Thrift Shop? Also are there any other songs on the public radio that would have a guy singing and saying somewhere about he is with another guy or so? I just haven't been listening to the radio so I don't know about what they play but I assumed that they play many gay songs and many straight songs also. I just heard someone say about a song called Thrift Shop and they said it is good.

    One of the FM Radio stations here used to have "Pride Radio" as their HD-2 channel :slight_smile:
    Sucks that they no longer have that one :frowning2:

    Well come to think of it no one really said yes or no about if there are a lot of gay and straight songs on the radio or so. I just wondered if they play both types of songs on the top hits channel. I know you guys showed some songs but I wanted to know if there are many gay songs and straight songs also so it's fair for both gay and straight people.

    I've heard this one on the local alt-rock radio station a few times recently:
    Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (feat Mary Lambert) - Same Love


    When another station had its HD-2 channel as 'Pride Radio' they would play this one from time to time:
    Hussy Cowboy (feat Ida Olsson & Slow Notion) - She Doesn't Know (Her Husband Is Gay)

    Overall I can't say that i've heard much gay music on the radio (especially if you don't count the extra HD-2 channel's )

    Or does no one know since they don't listen to these songs or are they not on the radio? I just saw this list on the Now 46 I haven't listened to them but I was wondering if this CD would have gay songs. I don't know what is on the radio a lot. I just thought maybe they play these songs.

    I'm sure I've heard a good number of those songs you listed - on the radio or in a store or whatever (but in most cases just can't put a 'name' with a 'song' since unless I'm at home & listening to radio I don't see artist/title displayed)
    < these 2 I know I've heard...because I remember seeing the names: Krewella - Alive .and. Kesha - C'Mon >
    I'm pretty sure all of whats on that CD are 'straight' songs LOL


    Somewhere I've got a good list of actual gay songs (but most of it is probably not new stuff)
