I love country music and realized two things:

1)Most of my songs are sung by men and,
2)Most of them used gender pronouns

I looked through my iTunes collection to find those that were gender-neutral in the lyrics (in case I get married and want to have a playlist of country songs at the wedding that don't talk about a boy/girl and could be interpreted as boy/boy or I need a song to symbolize a breakup, :roflmao:slight_smile:. Here are the ones I like and found.

I'll just assume Jesse is a boy:slight_smile:; although this song is a little "heavy," spiritual wise, for me.

Feel free to add any that come to mind. Also, I apologize if you think I have a poor taste in music :icon_bigg.

I don't listen to country music much, but I occasionally come across some songs by Lady Antebellum on radio stations. Need You Now and Just a Kiss are both gender-neutral.

I realized that most songs use gender pronouns. Definetly gonna have to check those out.

Those are good, but I didn't add them because the singers are male and female so it just sounds a bit "off" for gay couples. Although you're completely right that they're gender-neutral in the lyrics.

Hahaha! I tried listening to country and got a little bored by all the "he"s and "she"s, so now I listen to alternative because there is a nice spread of "you"s along with the gender specific pronouns.

The Grateful dead has a bunch of gender neutral songs

CCR has a bunch of songs

    The Band as well

The Tragically Hip, most of their songs are gender neutral I can't really think of a song that uses pronouns. (It's Canadian rock-country, I just consider it Canadian country)
