Was just wondering if there were any other fans of this show on here. I absolutely love it because it's very good at presenting subjects normally thought to be taboo in a neutral light. It's very educational. There was a segment in one episode about a voodoo priestess in New Orleans, and it really opened my eyes. I had always thought voodoo was just evil, but now that I've seen what it actually is, I think it's great! I mean, I'm pretty scared of snakes, which is what she used in one of her rituals, but I understand it now. So anyone else like this show? Thoughts? Favorite episodes/segments? Something you might like to see on it? Discuss.
YES!!! I saw one episode and fell in love. The part I watched, near the end, was about the Leather Culture. It really opened my eyes about that, their culture is now all okay in my eyes. I wish I could watch it more.
The one where the woman pretends to be a paraplegic made me mad. She says that she wants a doctor to amputate her legs. Yet she enjoys hiking. Why would you put your family and friends through the inconvenience of treating you like you can't walk? I guess it's attention seeking.
I hear ya. I don't understand that. I haven't seen that one, but I'll have to look it up now that you've mentioned it. I was also kind of saddened by the guy who wanted to be a dog.
