I cannot even begin to describe to you the love I have for the Hannibal novels. I know the show has gotten popular, but anyone want to discuss the novels?

  2. I liked Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs but I feel the last two went a bit over the top.
However Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs are indeed quite awesome. I can't pick a favourite between them.

As for the show? Oh my god I love it, it should not be good it should be awful but it's just thrilling and it is SERIOUSLY fucked up. (This is a big plus in my books.)

You know, I totally get where you're coming from with Hannibal Rising being over the top. Is it just me or did it seem like it was like a "try too hard" kind of novel?

I love Thomas Harris. I read all the books, and my favorite is Hannibal.
The ending was just perfect, and I hope that Bryan Fuller would get some guts and film it.
It would be epic in every sense of the word.

The ending Hannibal was BEAUTIFUL. I mean I loved it. My copy is so worn because I have read it time and time again!

I have been reading Hannibal since I was 8 years old. I am a huge fan of the books and of the New NBC series.

Needless to say i've seen all the movies. <3

I discovered Hannibal my freshman year of high school. Clarice Starling is actually what inspired me to want to become an FBI agent myself.

Sorry, I've never read the novels but I LOVE the show! It's so creepy which is what makes it so great. I swear I blink and the episode is over.

I will! And I think that sometimes the novels of movies/shows are better because things are usually left up to the readers imagination and imaginations can get pretty wacky sometimes...
