Should I or shouldn't I wait around?

I met a guy through an app that shall not be named, and we've been texting each other properly for the past few months now, sending each other funny pics/videos etc. I've finally made it known I want to meet up in the flesh, but things keep getting in the way. He works a good number of nights, and his nights off seem to be booked with other friends some time in advance. I'm now at the point where I'm getting impatient. I want proper human interaction, and not some flimsy online equivalent. With each passing day, I'm worried I'm wasting my time. Does anyone have any opinion if it may be best to call it a day or to just hang on in there?
