Yo. The guy I am seeing now is trying to stay friend with his ex. Consequently, he's hanging out with him kinda frequently. I'm worried that it won't help him in moving on. He doesn't believe me that separation will make things easier. Is my advice right? How would you advise him? If I'm right, what can I do to hit the message home?
Your advice isn't wrong, however it seems to be relatively common in the gay community to stay friend with exs, not because there are lingering feelings, but because it's one of the best way to meet other gays (and potential boyfriends, although that shouldn't an issue if he has you).
