    Is this a church that would support openly gay people? If not, then you might want to meet the guy elsewhere. Also, does he know you and know you're bi? You don't want to surprise a stranger who might be homophobic with both of these revelations.

    I don't know. I find this a lot easier than asking women out. Usually, I'm on "shoot the breeze" level with these guys and say "hey, we should go do this" or "hey, we should go get something to eat." My asking is sort of a non-event to me. And the event is meant to be a non-event, too. I think the platonic and casual approach tends to work with guys.

    have you had a girl friend? did you ask them out? if so why would it be any different, if he is bi/gay then go for it, if he isn't your wasting your time
