Act however you normally act, naturally, and enjoy yourself! Forget him, just do whatever you want to do. If he sees that you don't care he should have no reason to be worried. Just don't try to start something with him, as you might ruin the party for all the others who're going to attend, so alcohol, if there will be any, may not be the best drink option.
