One place to start would be here (be warned it's very long)

As for putting that into practice in a homophobic small town, you just need to find one gay guy and let him introduce you around, I guess. Does your school have a GSA, by any chance? Are there any sort of gay activities that you could go to?

A gay-straight alliance - basically a club where gay people and allies (people who are supportive of gays and gay rights) get together. You don't necessarily have to come out if you go to one, as there are straight allies there. However, it doesn't sound like your school has any such thing, sadly.

Perhaps others in similar situations will weigh in soon.

Gay Straight Alliance. It's a club that a lot schools offer. Just try google searching for gay activities in your town or close by something is bound to come up.

Statistically speaking there's bound to be a few other gay kids in your area. Look online to see if your community has a Pride Alliance or PFLAG group.

We have a GSA- Goverment, School, Arts . There's not a pride alliance or PFLAG group anywhere near here.

Crap, I'm sorry dude. Are you anywhere near a major city or larger town that might have such programs?

I wish I knew more I live in ky, but where your mobility is li mited it seems like school or online are the only real options. Just be careful online and make sure they are who they say. There are so many creepers with fake profiles.
