My mom was nice enough to mail me my digital camera that I left behind, and she enclosed in the box a letter telling me how much she misses me and loves me and I feel so guilty about the way I've vilified her in my mind.

    Hi (AwesomGaytheist),

I'm sure you're enjoying yourself out there at (my university). Things are pretty quiet here. I miss your conversations and your voice! I even miss washing your clothes! I miss you.

Sorry it took so long to get your camera in the mail. There never seems to be enough time in a day to get everything done.

Can you ask around and find out where a good place to stay is for Family Weekend (homecoming)? Your brother is looking forward to his first WMU game.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Give her a chance. I don't know enough about your situation, but losing family can be terrible. If she's a total villain after all, you don't have to, but otherwise, she can still be a part of your life. You might regret not having her in your life later.
