    Hey guys,

I have been out for a few months and have found it seriously difficult to meet other GLBT friends. I didn't think it would be so hard!

I live in a city but from my searching I have found that there was an LGBT centre in the past which has now closed and the only other place is a GLBT youth centre.

I am interested to know if anyone else has had any difficulty meeting other GLBT people and why?

Also, if there are places to meet friends in your area what are they like?

I live in a smallish town and no one here is lgbt, we have one trans ftm and a bisexual male or two but I have really given up on finding someone in my area. I'm going to try to find a college that is big on lgbt acceptance and also move when I can.

Try meetup.com. They have lots of LGBT groups, there might be one or more in your area.
