My first question, and it is very important - are they older or younger than you?
If so, what are your ages?

You can both respond if you'd like. This is an interesting topic and I'm really looking forward to talking about it.

Golden Rule, if they don't respect you then don't respect them!

I don't know your age, but based on your siblings' ages, I don't think respect is something they're going to be concerned about.

I have two older brothers (23 and 25), and when I was 10 years old and they were in their late teen years, the last thing on my mind was respecting them.
Respect doesn't matter at that age. You have no idea why it would ever be important to respect your family members, and you see them so frequently that you take for granted having them around.

I really began to respect my brothers when they moved out of the house (for college) and I didn't get to see them as much. It also came easier as I grew up and matured more.

Just because they don't respect you right now doesn't mean they won't respect you when you're all older. Disrespect is part of being siblings at a young age.
Things will most likely change as you get older.

    RE: MMF's post -
When talking about non-familial people, yes, but family is a whole new business.
I know I wouldn't have given two damns whether my older brothers respected me when I was 10. I just wanted to be annoying, regardless of their actions. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
