You stop yourself before you fall too deep. Although it can be fun to admire people we find appealing, learning how to convince oneself not to fall head first into a string of emotions about those that we aren't even certain we have a chance with is an invaluable skill. I'm definitely not saying that you don't have a chance, nor that you do. Whether you reveal your feelings for him or not is also entirely up to you.
