What to do with 'teh gays' and ignorance?

    In class I decided to bring in an article regarding Uganda's new anti-gay policy. Only to find out that it would start a riot in class aha.

    One of the guys (dumb jocks I'm not suprised) said that there should be one or two states just for gays. He said they wouldn't be forced there, but it will cease the hate. Meanwhile the teacher and several other girls were completely against the idea-me too but was quiet.

    And I'm just wondering, how would/should LGBT go about homophobes or ignorant people on the subject? What is even worse is that they don't even want to learn. Opinions/suggestions?

    People will always find someone to discriminate. Black people, women, lgbt, who knows who's next . But none of us should back down
