Yes, this has been said to me. On more than one occasion. Actually, every time the subject of my love life is brought up with one of my friends. And every time I say, "Well, I can have one, it's just not attached to my body." and that usually ends the conversation until next time. I know she thinks she's telling me that I'm attractive but she's also diminishing my hope of ever finding someone who will accept me for who I am and in turn, also triggering my dysphoria in which it plays in a loop over and over in my head. I'm just wondering, has something like this ever been said to you by a friend or someone with whom you've dated? How did you respond? Are you still friends?
