When I came out as gay, I was terrified of my parent's reaction and yet they are mostly supportive of it, when they found out about my tattoos they didn't care and want to help me pick the next one again I thought my parents would freak!

I am always assuming they will murder me or something, and I feel really bad about it

I'm like that too, but if your parents are anything like mine, judge away.

They may be supportive now, but they might be hiding their true colors. One day, my birth-dad said there was nothing wrong with me. The next, he's talking about how the Bible says I should sleep with a man, then he gets drunk and throws a bunch of slurs at me.

    Don't trust them.

I'm the same. It is human nature to assume the worst, it is a way to protect ourselves. *high five to your splendid parents
