I'm a gay guy, but I'm only out to like three of my friends. Most of the time when I'm hanging out with my other friends who don't know I'm gay (a lot of them are guys), all they'll talk about is girls. I guess I kind of understand why they do it, but I'm finding it hard to relate to them in conversation if they just talk about what girls they think are hot. I don't want to lose these friends, but its getting harder to talk to them. Any advice?

I've had to deal with this before and honestly my advice would be come out to them. BUT only if you're ready. They're straight and unfortunately they're going to want to talk about girls a lot. There isn't exactly much you can do really.

If you are not ready to come out to them yet, you could just play the game with them. Don't say they are hot because that might give them the idea you are straight, so instead of lying, just say that they are pretty, etc. You are not lying to them and it doesn't give a definite sign that you are straight because gay guys can appreciate a girls beauty.

Yeah, I'm not ready to come out to them yet. I try and pretend when they're talking about girls, but it just gets kind of boring for me :/

Then try to ask something else. How old are you and your friends?

Ahh! I can see why you say that then. It's the time they talk about that, so there's no helping it. You'll have to endure it if you wish to be around them, or try your best to change the topic and talk about other things.

I actually disagree. I would ignore it, and try to change the subject.

This happens all the time with me and my dad. Whenever I even mention a female classmate he immediately asks if I think she's cute. Then I have to creatively try to change the subject.
