Opinions on if its possible to be platonic with a close friend if you suddenly develop sexual/emotional attraction to them?
This is different for everyone. I think it's possible. I have a friend who I've had a soft spot for for a long time, but I still appreciate our friendship, and I wouldn't jeopardize it now. I value it too much. I'm honestly happy just being friends, if that's what we're destined to be. Sometimes feelings are too strong to be ignored, though, and have to be addressed. I can understand that. The other possibility is that the feelings are mutual after all. It does happen!
