    I posted a funny status on facebook and things took a weird turn with a friend. he's gay and has a boyfriend

    Well, to be honest, that was a pretty odd status to post. The fact that an odd conversation followed from that shouldn't be too surprising.

    Yeah, I dunno. :confused: He sounds sort of flirty/horny but you both have a sort of jokey tone in those conversations so I'm not sure you can take what he says too seriously.

    May have been desire masked with humor, but I wouldn't base anything off of this in itself. I've had several straight guys "flirt" with me, granted some of them turned out to not be straight in the long run but it's always safer to assume that they're joking unless you're getting some strong signals, like eye contact and awkward silences, or if they keep asking you thorough questions about your sexuality.

    but if I was in the situation of OP, I would definitely use some prolonged eye contact and awkward silences to see where that would take things... :icon_wink
