How much time should 2 people know each other before dating officially? a week? (my current situation) a month? a few months?
I don't think jumping into a relationship with someone you've only known for a week is wise. I would give it a good while. Get to know him better.
For me, I really need to know them as close friends for some time before I could consider them as being a boyfriend.
I'm not sure about a serious relationship after only a week, but I don't see a problem with going out on a date and getting to know each other better. As for how long, I think it varies based on the situation. I tend to date people I've been friends with first and known for months. Or, in the case of my girlfriend, four years.
