Does anyone have any advice on how to tell if someone is being mean, or just messing with you, or if they are being sincere, or anything else?

I can almost never tell if people are being social or not, or if people are friendly or I people think of me as their friend.

Well... After a certain point, you should know who your friends are and who doesn't like you, no? In social situations it can be a bit difficult. I can only try to explain with what I know. So, I'm quite good at socialising with random people and manage to be nice to them even if I never want to see them again (yeah that's mean). Once people get to know me better, I'm a really sarcastic person so for those who don't understand sarcasm, they probably think I hate them. So if you feel someone is being mean to you, think "How long have I known that person? Is that person sarcastic?" If you just met the person and think that person is mean, then chances are you're probably right. I wouldn't make comments that could be badly interpreted if someone doesn't know it's really just a joke. For the friend bit, you just know when you click with a person and have interesting conversations, you don't even have to confirm it with the person. Friendship is just mutual respect and acceptance; you recognize it when it happens. I don't think this really answers your question, but I don't know how else to put it.
