Long distance relationships

    What do you guys think about them? I've been chatting with this guy since last year October and even though we've only met one, we've still kept in contact. He's pretty much everything I wanted (minus the smoking part and distance issue, he's 2-3 hours away).

    We've both come to realize that if it doesn't work out, we will still keep in contact. We're both on the same page for a lot of things, so we understand either quite well.

    Thoughts? Anyone in a long distance relationship?

    About a year and a half and she's going overseas for a few years to teach. It requires a lot of trust and a lot of communication, but I believe it can work. I also think that it helps to have the expectation that, at some point, the long-distance will end, but I don't think that point has to be set in stone.
