Uh, strange question about relationships

    Umm.. I don't really know how to ask this one.

    Relationships with multiple people? And no, I don't mean cheating.

    Like, as in three people all dating each other.

    Is that actually polygamy? Becuase the way I gather it in poly the people in the relationship regard others of the same sex as siblings, not lovers. That's not what I'm talking about...

    Is that actually something that exists? Or is it just kind of a shipping thing? Or is it technically poly?

    Poly works in many ways, not just hetero. That sounds like what I'd call a triad, but I think poly would work too.

    Polygamy is specifically marriages to multiple people.

    Polyamory works in a lot of different ways. Three people can all be dating each other. Two people can be in an open relationship, so one or both parties can date other people. I've never known anyone to be in a poly relationship, but my girlfriend has three friends that were in an exclusive relationship with each other for several years.

    After I read your comments I found a very good website explaining polyamory ^^

    I wanted to ask because a relationship with multiple people is something I feel I'd definitely be open to ^^
