Me: *Studying on laptop* Dad: Do you actually study all day? (he's suspicious that I do other stuff in the computer reality i'm studying) Me: *Plays on computer* Dad: What aren't you studying? Jesus Christ there is no satisfying him and he should like be grateful that I actually work rather than waste my time. Whenever I actually study he becomes suspicious that I'm doing other stuff. I'm in college, it's very demanding and yes I do get off task, but that shouldn't be his business. And when I do play in the laptop he gets angry for me not studying and I'm like what the hell do you want me to do then I have a right to have fun. Just wanted to get this off my chest.
How annoying! The great disadvantage of so many young people nowadays is they don't get to move away from their parents after high school. So many still live at home due to financial necessity. Once you're an adult, you want to be independent. Not launching out on your own with a friend or two after 18 years of age... well, I can't even imagine how tough that must be! My sympathies.
