As the title asks, is physical detachment a good way to emotionally detach yourself from someone (an ex, for example)?

If you'd say it's a good way, would you say it's the best, or are there other ways that work better to stop caring too much about someone?

I'm just curious to see any input you guys have on the subject.

    Thanks!

Not for me exactly, even if the person was miles away from me I would still feel an emotional attachment to them.

Yeah, that makes sense, and I think I am the same way.

Sorry, my question wasn't very clear but I was more meaning physical detachment as in cutting yourself off from someone (minimal communications/contact).
