I'm from a Latin American country sometimes considered the Caribbean... anyway, long story short, I hated it so much I actually moved to Europe and that was a major push factor.
I'm not from there but I do have quite a few gay and bi friends in the Caribbean region, mostly in Colombia, Florida, Panama and Venezuela. What my friends have told me is that it depends quite a lot where do you live. Small towns and rural areas are generally miserable places to live in while bigger cities tend to be OK. Also, your wealth level affects quite a lot how easy it is for you. Let me guess, you are a Venezuelan? Half of the Venezuelans I know have had enough of Maduro & Patria Bolivariana and have emigrated either to Europe or to Colombia.
