Asking her to go to pride with me?

    Okay, so I have one friend whose queer who I'm just friends with (she has a crush on her ex and she talks about it). I want to ask her if she wants to go to pride with me, but I don't want her to think i'm asking her out. I've already asked her if she's going to pride and she says she doesn't know. Should I ask her/how should I go about asking her? Also, we just got out of school so I can only ask her through texting.

    I would simply say something like " Hey, I am going to the gay pride on X day, if you wanna join ! :slight_smile: "

    That way it sends the message that you are going regardless of if she joins you or not so it can't be mistaken for a date ! :slight_smile:
