Haven't dated in 20 some odd years, so I may be way off base, but do you think they were turned off at the thought of you being with men ?

Is that a turn off for hetero women ?

I've heard some (but far from all) people don't want to date bisexuals because they're afraid the bisexual person is going to leave them for a person of another gender. It makes no sense at all but that's what I've heard anyway.

I could understand them, but if the bisexual concerned is faithful, that would make no sense.

Nope, biphobia is very common in both straight and gay people.
