    "piercings are gay" LOLOLOLOL WHAT?

I guess it depends on what kind of piercing, are we talking ears or like nipples or genitals?
I suppose a taint piercing could be considered kind of gay.

I don't have any piercings now and when I was young my mom would not let me get one either. Except her reasoning was way more legit, she would not let me modify my body until I was 18 and a adult. Why did your mom not just go with that for a reason?

Once I was 18 I didn't really care about piercings or tattoos anymore. Although recently I've considered getting my ears pierced.

Not sure how you can convince her, Sounds like the bigger issue is her homophobia, try working on that with her.

I'm not allowed piercings until quote "I can drive myself to the hospital when they're oozing pus" There's a fair reason though. When I got my ears pierced they got infected and it was pretty nasty. I had to heal them up but I want one ear pierced again and lots of other piercings. It's got nothing to do with your sexual orientation. I don't understand where she got that idea from. You could get a piercing yourself without her permission. Where I live it's mostly 14+ to get a piercing without a parents permission.

You might ask your mom if she would object the same if you were a girl instead of a boy. If she would be ok with her daughter having a piercing, I would remind her that it's a sexist idea.

Ultimately you may just have to wait until you are 18 and can do what you want.

If her only problem with them is that they are "gay" you could show her male hetero celebrities wearing them, there should be plenty of that.

Been there, done that. That was one of my first few attempts she said as quoted "trust me all of them are gay. Most dudes these days are gay anyway"

My Mum moaned when I got a tattoo at the age of 28. What's a Mom, anyway?
