First "date": walk my dog together by the sea? Is it weird?

would it be weird if I invite the girl I like to join me on a walk by the sea port to walk my dog together?? (It's really sunny these days and that place is very beautiful close to our neighborhood and many people hang out there) :icon_redf she always says how she likes dogs and cats and that she wants a kitten. Btw my dog is very cute cuddly and friendly
I want to ask her out during the Easter break cause I know she would be having free time now and I don't want to wait anymore but I am so afraid to make my feelings clear.. there's some connection between us and some signs but I still don't know if she is ready for such a move and how she would take it. And what would I say if she says no.. ask her to do sth else or just apologize for the misunderstanding? We see each other only in dance classes so I can only ask her through text if I don't want anyone to overhear us.. if you check my profile you'll see the whole story in detail I am trying to find a safe excuse to meet her so that's why I came up with that.if you have an idea tell me.

Finally I have some news So I started the conversation by sending her a song I sang . She said that she generally likes this song and liked my voice a lot too we both used emojis and talked a little. And in the end I told her for the walk. And she said that she is unfortunately out of town and that next time for sure with a winky face is this good news?? I knew that she may still be out of town but I preferred to not ask her that before asking her out..
