Someday: A Poem

okay i just thought i would try and write a poem or something like it, i don't really know all the rules and all that mess but lol this is what i came up with. what'dya think?

What if there was a night
A youth of rainbow saw the sight
Of a falling star and thought to say
I wish on this gift from the Milky Way
That it was gay, the ‘proper’ way
So full of glee, gay he would truly be
And straight was seen as heresy
Such an intriguing fantasy
Yet for the bi life is no better
As they remain steadfastly fettered
By the pain and condemnation
Of inequality in the nation
Yet all is never lost
As a girl sits with her thoughts
And gazes toward the constellations
Dreaming as the boy did for justification
Of her love so polyamorous
She spots a twinkle so stupendous
“Now,” she said with clear thought
“My dreams are to be sought!”
And right before she made it done
She paused; a second thought had just begun
For she recognized her chance to bring
A better world and let freedom ring
And so she said quite matter-of-factly
“I will tell you what I want exactly.
For love to be as it should have been
Without limitations by men & women
Love cannot be contained by labels
Straight, gay or biblical fables
And now I ask you to make it so
That towards anyone love can freely grow!”
And as this tale comes to its end
The girl finds the World on the mend
For from love all good things emanate
And man no longer seeks to instigate
How truly awesome it will be
