I've got an 18th birthday house party in a couple weeks time, and it's fancy dress, with the theme of children's characters. I'm tallish, have blonde hair (long), blue eyes and don't want to be a Disney princess (haha).

Any suggestions? I have access to a couple fancy dress wigs, if that helps. I also don't want to spend that much on a costume.

    Throw 'em at me

Alice Liddell comes to mind first.
Wendy Darling too, but she doesn't have a recognisable outfit, so you'd keep having to explain yourself.
    Tinkerbell, of course.

How about Galadriel from The Lord of the Rings? You would just need a white robe, a tiara, a costume ring and pointed ears.

All great suggestions, thanks! I'm liking the idea of Galadriel, but wondering if I could pass her off as a children's character? Elsa... drool  The whomping willow - that is original! I would have loved to see that!

Alice and Wendy are already taken :frowning2: Luna might be easy though... I just need to wear some eccentric clothing and find some radish earrings somewhere!

I can't really consider LotR to be a children's book though...

For more Alice characters, there's always the Queen of Hearts, The Red Queen, maybe Dinah (Alice's cat) and the Duchess
