Most similar are Richmond, VA; Raleigh, NC; and Durham, NC. I'm completely shocked.

Well I got Denver, Oakland, and San Francisco but there's a burning red streak down Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. Thoroughly Rocky Mountain speech pattern here.

I kinda wish you had put this in Chit-Chat though - it's a very interesting collection of data!

Also.... by far the least similar is South Jersey. Always hated that Jersey crap. :roflmao:

New York, Providence and Honolulu. The first two I understand, they're closer to Britain, but Hawaii? Seriously? How'd that happen

I got most similar to St Paul (Minnesota), Madison (Wisconsin), and Grand Rapids (Michigan). What's weird is that even though I'm from Pittsburg, PA I have been told I sound like I'm from Minnesota in my accent even though Ive only been there like once xD

And weirdly enough Pittsburgh is one of my three LEAST similar xD

I got San Antonio, Irving, and Plano, (all in TX) for most similar. That's creepy. I live in one of those cities.

For least similar, I got Minneapolis/St.Paul, Milwaukee, and Detroit.

I actually took the test again and it had a few different questions and this time I got Arlington, Irving, and Plano, (all in TX) as the most similar and Rochester, Buffalo and Philadelphia were the least similar. Never lived in any of those places, but I've got relatives in Plano.

I suppose my vocabulary and diction would stick out in the northern part of the country.

Madison Wisconsin, Milwaukee Wisconsin, and Rochester NY. I've never been to Wisconsin, but I grew up in Rochester NY

Re-took it, and got Rochester and Milwaukee again, but got Buffalo NY instead of Wisconsin.

Hmm... I got Grand Rapids, MI, Rockford, IL, and Toledo, OH, in that order. 3rd guess isn't bad, I suppose.

And, least similar to Lubbock TX, Mobile AL, and Knoxville KY.

Reno, Fresno, and Bakersfield. Funny since I've never been to the west coast or even west of the Mississippi apart from a couple of brief DFW layovers.

There were a number of questions where I wish I could've picked more than one answer - I've used 'cougar', 'mountain lion', and 'puma' in roughly equal proportion.

Also...I now remember that drive-thru liquor stores are a thing.

I also got Reno and and Fresno in a third one I did. I'm also from "the south." If I recall, some of these cities in the west coast were populated by southerners migrating during the Dust Bowl a la Grapes of Wrath so maybe some southern dialects were transported there. That said, my results for the first two I did were more Texan than Deep South.

Los Angeles, Glendale, and Corona (all three cities in California.)

I'm Australian, so I don't know how this applies much, but I've noticed some Californian lingo can be interchangeable with Australian slang.

    California. So I passed!

I have honest never heard someone refer to a water or drinking fountain as a "bubbler" or essentially any of the references to an "easy class".

And its funny that this was only in regards to America dialects because I've been told I sound like a stereotypical upper class old English woman.

Corona, Fresno, and Paradise/Spring Valley, based on my choice of "firefly".

    PS I'm from Fresno.
