Yo, fellow photographer here. I honestly can't remember what sparked my interest in it, but almost a year & over 900 photos later, I have no regrets. I'm seriously considering pursuing it as a career. My current camera is a Samsung WB100 bridge camera.
Awwwe that's awesome! I use a canon t2i with a variety of lenses. I specialize in potraits, nature, and macro photography. But I'll try any kind of photography!
I specialize in buildings (i.e high rise flats, of which there's no short supply here in Glasgow), structures & railway photography. I just googled your camera, and I'm so jealous.
I shoot at a lot of gigs but find it hard with only one camera at the moment. Being unaware of the lighting until BANG you're in the pit is a right pain. I use a Canon 40D
The 40D is an awesome camera! And I'm impressed! ---------- Post added 15th Apr 2014 at 03:27 PM ---------- Ooooh that sounds cool! And hehehehehehehe I know it's awesomeeee :3
Love it, but as a hobby. I have taken professional portrait photographs and it is exhausting and anxiety-inducing. I have a Nikon D7000 and mainly use my 50mm AF-D f/1.4 with it. I also use my iPhone camera a lot these days because I always have it with me. I'm thinking about buying a Fujifilm X100S at some point.
Thank you! I love it. I'm even tempted to buy the body again, just because I want another camera so I'm prepared... Not sure if it's a silly decision to re-buy 'old' technology (seeing as they are constantly releasing new cameras) or if to go with what I know!
YUP! Nikon D5100 here! Want a new lens though, preferably a 18-300mm! Went for a sunrise shoot earlier today- was worth it! Into multiple exposures atm, anyone tried them?
I use canon, and they don't have an 18-300 lens... Maybe I should switch, or get a converter so I can use nikkor lenses.. :/
Just thought I'd post my album of the legendary Red Road estate, undergoing the process of demolition over the past couple of months. I hope that link works for the rest of you.
Perhaps! I'm sure Canon has an alternative? The Tamron 18-200mm (I think) is equally as good from what I've heard.
Photography obsessive here! I shoot a Canon 5D2 and 7D in the digital world and a Mamiya RB67 medium format film camera, photography's a huge part of my life.
I love photography. Been involved in it one way or another since the film days (I'm dating myself here Used to do darkroom work at pro studios. These days, we have it so much easier with digital. And recently I've become quite enamored of the new mirrorless cameras from Sony, Panasonic, Olympus and Fuji. Picked up a Sony NEX-6 and love it. It's so much smaller and less obtrusive to carry around, not to mention costing less than a DSLR. And it has an amazing electronic viewfinder. But you don't give up anything in picture quality. Worth checking out if anyone's in the market for a new camera. BTW, much as we might be tempted to post links here to sites with our photos, I think that violates EC rules and can get you banned. Best to check with one of the admins here if you want to be sure. But we can certainly talk about it or post pics in our own profile pages. Cheers!
