Saw this on another forum http://www.buzzfeed.com/perpetua/how-much-of-a-music-nerd-are-you I got 21/100
You checked off 39 out of 100 on this list! You’re a major music nerd, and most people in your life consider you to be an expert. You’re very committed, but there’s some lines you don’t cross.
You checked off 11 out of 100 on this list! There is no doubt that you’re waaaay into music, but you’re not TOTALLY intense about it. Like, you probably have other interests and a well-rounded life. There’s no shame in that!
Lowest score so far! I got 10/100! I've given someone a hard time for not knowing who sings "The Final Countdown", but that's as far as I go. I'm not a concert goer.
You checked off 24 out of 100 on this list! There is no doubt that you’re waaaay into music, but you’re not TOTALLY intense about it. Like, you probably have other interests and a well-rounded life. There’s no shame in that! I would have scored higher if I had enough money to travel to music festivals lol
Considering I almost exclusively listen to electronic music(Electro house, liquid dnb, chillstep, etc.), the low result is not surprising at all You checked off 7 out of 100 on this list! There is no doubt that you’re waaaay into music, but you’re not TOTALLY intense about it. Like, you probably have other interests and a well-rounded life. There’s no shame in that! I used to like bands and stuff way in the mainstream, but eventually, around the age of 12 I abandoned all sense of conformity in my tastes. I don't follow the media anymore and instead listen to edmspotlight promoter channels. I am neither mainstream nor hipster. Yay! lowest score!
I got 7/100. Joint lowest so far... And I only know about Robert Christgau 'cos he slagged off a King Crimson album I like
Been reading Christgau for years - found a lot of my favorite music through his recommendations. Been listening to King Crimson even longer though and think much more highly of them than he does, though incidentally my favorites are the ones he rated highest as well (Starless and Bible Black, Red, Discipline, Larks' Tongues in Aspic).
I saw his thoughts on KC's first album on wiki and checked it out. He definitely does not like KC, but some of his reviews are pretty funny. And his grading system is hilarious ("An E- record is an organically conceived masterpiece that repays repeated listening with a sense of horror in the face of the void. It is unlikely to be marred by one listenable cut.")!
You checked off 2 out of 100 on this list! There is no doubt that you’re waaaay into music, but you’re not TOTALLY intense about it. Like, you probably have other interests and a well-rounded life. There’s no shame in that! buzzfeed not a single one of these things is even true but the result u stfu
