Whether intentional or not -- from Heckle & Jeckle to Ren & Stimpy it does seem that there are an awful lot of gay cartoon characters. And though Bert & Ernie aren't technically cartoon characters, there's no way that Bert would have put up with Ernie's annoying idiocy unless they had something going on on the side. So who's gay in cartoon land?

Sanjay from the Fairly Oddparents very obviously has a crush on Timmy. No one is that obsessive over one of their friends without having feelings for them beyond friendship... Quoted from Sanjay's reference page on the Fairly Oddparents Wiki: "In Merry Wishmas, Tootie wishes for a pony named Timmy because she has a huge crush on him.
