In honor of the late, great actor/comedian who will be greatly missed and forever loved, Robin Williams (1951-2014):

What is your favorite Robin Williams movie and why?

I love all of his movies but Ms. Doubtfire will always stick out in my mind. It was the epitome of classic, funny movies when I was growing up. I saw it twice in theaters when I was in 6th grade. Best movie!

Good Morning, Vietnam. It was a dark and witty comedy, not much else to say

I loved his part as the Genie in Aladdin. Mainly because his personality fit the Genie to the exact details, and it was one of my favorite movies growing up (massive Disney fan in general).

I actually watched Aladdin a couple of hours ago as a tribute to his amazing works, watching it with this context made me tear up quite a bit this time around though.

The Dead Poets Society. Not funny, but very... anyway, I wish his death could just be an offending shadow.

Ugh. Such a tough choice. All of the above are wonderful films I really like. My housemates and I watched Birdcage last night and I'd forgotten just how amazing that film is.

Less of Robin's improvising than some of the others, but powerful in portraying the struggle between owning who his character is and wanting to support his son. And the chemistry between Robin and Nathan Lane, and Nathan's spectacular performance makes it a wonderful film.

Patch Adams is another somewhat underrated film I really liked. And I've heard wonderful things about Awakenings but haven't seen it yet.

Patch Adams and Mrs. Doubtfire. Both films you saw raw emotions from such an incredible actor. In both films he was hilarious and funny, but he also showed a side of himself that was vulnerable.

Birdcage, Insomnia, 24 Hour Photo, Aladdin.

He played a mentally ill individual to the T. So much range as an actor. :eusa_clap

I remember him the most in Mrs. Doubtfire, because I watched that movie with my grandma whenever I would go over. I never got sick of it and I loved Robin Williams in it. It was a childhood movie of mine. I loved Aladdin as well, he played Genie so well, and it was another one I'd always watch with my grandma as a kid. Last year I watched Dead Poets Society, so I also appreciate him for his more serious side.

It's been a long time since I've watched one of his films but I remember Jumanji was my favorite as a kid.

Dead Poets Society, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, and of course he brought the genie in Aladdin to life.

His death was shocking to me, I usually don't get too affected by actors' deaths, but his was very unexpected, and he had more talent to show us.

This is quite difficult... he did so many amazing films.

I've probably seen Aladdin the most, but I would say my favourite would be The Fisher King. If you haven't seen it, I recommend you do so - it's a wonderful balance of fairy tale morals and obscure Williams-flavoured humour. Plus Jeff Bridges is in it, too.

Good morning Vietnam, I never really liked his purely comedic films (but he was good in Aladdin)

I love Robin Williams movies. While my favorite among them is Birdcage it is more of a Nathan Lane movie for me so I'd pick Mrs Doubtfire where he is funny and dramatic at the same time.

Thus far, Jumunji. But I want to see Dead Society Poets so bad.
