Make up a sentence with Merriam-Webster's word of the day!

    Today's word is hobbit.

The only thing I have in common with a hobbit is a love of second breakfasts... and rings forged in the fires of Mount Doom... but the breakfasts are easier to get.

Can I use the word in the plural sense? If so, ahem...

"They're taking the hobbits to Isengard!"

Yes! Pluralize, conjugate, pun-ify, do whatever wordly magic you can.

Hobbits have a love for growing things, plentiful food and a good whiff of Old Toby but where their hearts truly lie is in peace and quiet.

    What did you say?

I prefer to pluralize "hobbit" as "hobbitses".
