The great question... who is your favorite fictional villain of all time? Could be from a book, video game, tv show, movie, you name it.
We appear to think similarly enough, LOL. I could say, but that'd spoil my little list. Though I'm sure some of them aren't too difficult to figure out.
I don't know about favorite, but the one I've spent the most time with over the last few years has been a character from The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. the character is Emperor Jagang, or Jagang the Just, as he would call himself later at the suggestion of a former companion. quite a piece of work that one. he decided that the world needed to be rid of magic, so humans could live in peace, doing his bidding of course. while trying to destroy magic, he himself used people that had the gift of magic, usually taking their lives in the process. he also used a very dangerous magical spell that unleashed a plague that killed thousands of the people he himself was claiming to be fighting for. the character met what I would call a satisfactory end, though I wouldn't have hated reading that he had been torn limb from limb considering the hypocrisy of his cause to eliminate magic. you see, Jagang himself had a magical ability. Jagang was a dreamwalker, the first one born with that ability in about 3,000 years. I doubt very highly Jagang was planning on killing himself, had he succeeded in wiping out magic in the rest of the world, which shows how misguided his followers were to not have voiced it once anywhere in the series.
Haha, Kaiser! It would appear we are - in a few ways - similar. Since asking me to have one favorite is impossible, some of mine are: James Moriarty (esp. BBC Sherlock) The Joker (esp. The Dark Knight) Magneto (esp. X-Men First Class & Days of Future Past) Loki (Marvel Cinematic Universe) And many others that, for the life of me, I cannot recall right now.
Tough one! I'm really torn between Ghirahim from LoZ:Skyward Sword and Albedo from Xenosaga. They have a lot in common, but Albedo definitely gets a lot more back story/screen time. Ghirahim is a lot more well known so I've had more discussions about him with people, but if I am honest with myself, I think Albedo is a more fleshed out character for sure.
I don't consider Regina a villain anymore (She jsut deserves to be happy! D' Definitely a Moriarty, Loki, Joker fan club that I agree with going on here. Also Pollution from Good Omens, Terry Pratchett's "Death", Nick Cutler from Being Human and Supernaturals Lucifer.
I'm gonna have to say (in no particular order) - Vaas Montenegro [Far Cry 3] - Handsome Jack [Borderlands 2 - villain, Borderlands The Pre Sequel - Protagonist NPC] - Dr Neo Periwinkle Cortex [Crash Bandicoot Series, esp. Twinsanity]
