There's a lot of fun/games EC threads ... I guess it would be a fun game in itself - to see what everyones favorite is. Personally, I love all of those rate threads - but ultimately, I have to choose the "What are your first impressions of the person above" or the "ask the person below what they think of you" and "what do you think about the person above you?" It just gives a lot of insight on peoples thinking here; how they feel, what they're like... It's very interesting and fun. What are you guys' opinions?
Well I like when I'm not too busy to do all the word of the day ones because I like writing... I also love the "Rate the profile page" one because I'm really proud of how I got my colors to work out because like I work on skinning colors for my sites. I also really love the high school stereotype one even though I haven't played in a while
Basically, you uploaded your voice to say something, anything. It eventually became a place to answer questions, in general or involving the forum itself. It was removed due to being difficult to supervise, as that would require listening to each and every audio recording, to make sure all the forum rules were followed. Also, there was concern it was becoming a sort of exclusive environment, as folks were discussing and talking about fellow EC members they were friendly with or liked. I understand why it was done, but I still believe a ruling pertaining to too many member-related questions could have sufficed. Personally, I miss being able to speak aloud, as I don't get to do it as often offline; and it's very therapeutic for me. I also enjoyed hearing others be confident, even if only for a few moments. <3 That said, Voices of EC was one of my favorites. I, too, like the various 'user above me' threads, because it allows you to raise somebody's mood. I like some of the role-playing threads as well, to read and to compare and contrast. I do miss those wild and random threads, where total anarchy reigned, LOL. Those were fun, and one hell of a time.
Is it possible for someone to re-create the Voices Of EC thread and make a ruling for it to be specific to questions? I want to do this. lol...
From what I understand, probably not until the forum "upgrade", and even then it won't be a top priority. I'd like that, but we'll have to wait and see.
Wait, what is this forum "upgrade" and what will it do? I feel so out of loop with this shit now LOL, but I've only been here for 5 1/2 weeks. XP Who knows. Maybe I'll revive the Voices of EC thread.
