Some people love the holidays. Some people hate them. Whatever. This is for the people who enjoy the holidays (Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Yule, ANY of them).

So: what is your favorite part of the holiday? Material things? Uniting the family? Why is it so important to you? Or do you just like it all?

    :'D

    Happy Holidays!

Not a big fan of the holidays. I get out for school, maybe get a cool gift, that's the extent of it. Otherwise I just pretend I like my family and don't cause any problems.

I love the food...I love helping my mom cook- she always pulls out all the stops- even though every year she says she won't. Christmas cookies are the best  it's an annual tradition in our house. I also like seeing my family, especially my brother who I don't get to see that often b/c he lives far away from where I am. We all fall into our old routines/ways of interacting with each other, and have some spats after a few days of living together again, but I love my family, and cherish every opportunity to see them (well, most of the time).

The food is the best part.We have an extravagant Christmas Eve dinner and then we have something called Cold Table(it's a Danish thing) for Christmas Day.It's basically cold cuts, bread, cheese, wine, fish and other little appetizers. And hanging out with my family is the other part that I love. It's a small family, but I do love my family members even if sometimes I want to kill them and hide the body.

I hate my family. Like, on a new level. They always make me feel useless and such, but at the same time, I'll always care for them.

During the holidays, everyone is just so nice and caring. It's a few days a year that I look forward to, simply because of the feelings of sitting around a table with everyone I love.

I'm not getting any presents this year due to no one having money, and personally, I could care less. Sure, I'm sad my oldest sister is spending christmas with her boyfriend + his family, but she's starting to drift away from us anyways... as long as I have at least one person to spend the holidays with, that's enough of a present for me.

I love all the houses which are over the top covered in lights. We have a street near us which is really classily draped in these white lights, it's amazing.
The smell of Christmas is nice as well, as is the food

 I have an aunt like that. She gives us a ton of money because she's never had children to spend it on.

I think all of it put together is pretty good, I like the overall happiness of Christmas

Well, I wanted it to be CIGARETTES and birth control, but that took too much room.

I guess latex. OR you could use your imagination. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Christmas eve at my Mom's house : Best part is getting to see all of the cousins & aunts & uncles. There's always something weird going down whenever they're over.

Christmas day at my Dad's house : Meh. The food. And Wii.

I'd rather not. Haha. My sisters take it... rather not have that associated with my feelings of the holidays :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
