Hello, my lovely little rainbows, and welcome to Debate! This is simple- I present a topic and you, my dear readers, will challenge, agree with, and add to my statement in any way you see fit. Be as angry or as timid as you like! ROUND 1: What is the difference between a soft-shell taco and a burrito? GO!
A soft shell taco is folded in half, is shaped as a semicircle. While a burrito is wrapped around the fillings, it is cylindrical.
Soft Shell Tacos are Messy. You can't have a whole lot of stuffing in it and expect to fit them in your mouth without getting them over yourself and the ingredients falling out. Burritos are comparatively easier to eat. You have more filling and can fit it in your mouth comparatively easily than tacos.
Yea, apparently it is that simple. Burritos are folded in a way that they can better hold their contents, while soft tacos aren't. The latter are just folded in half. Though, the overlap happens a lot. It's such a small difference that there really isn't a reason to discern the two in my opinion.
Yeah, it's all about the wrapping. Sometimes burritos will use two tortillas. Also, generally speaking, burritos will have refried beans inside of them. Tacos usually will not. Or I'm off base there, but yeah. Just the wrapping.
Burrito, the tortilla goes all the way around and makes a nice snuggly package. A taco (traditionally speaking) is flat with toppings on top, and doesn't wrap around the contents.
However, seeing that I have burritos on a weekly basis but not tacos, (hardshell) tacos sound pretty darn good right now!
